Professor G. W. Kolodko’s book Truth, Errors, and Lies: Politics and Economics in a Volatile World”, which  has been nominated for the Michael Harrington Award for outstanding book that demonstrates how scholarship can be used in the struggle for a better world, is now published in paperback edition (http://www.amazon.com/Truth-Errors-Lies-Politics-Economics). The Ukrainian edition of Professor Kolodko's book "Truth, Errors, and Lies: Politics and Economics in a Volatile World" is already the tenth language in which the book is available. The book is translated in Farsi (contemporary Persian) and so far has been published in English, Russian, Chinese, Arabic, Polish, Ukrainian, Turkish, Vietnamese, and Hungarian. All together over 100 thousand copies have been sold worldwide.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Polish Institute of International Affairs and the University of Warsaw invite you to participate in a conference to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Polish-Indian diplomatic relations. The conference’s panel discussions include session 2 "Poland and India in the globalized world" with the participation of Nobel Peace Prize laureate, Dr. Rajendra Kumar Pachauri, President of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, IPCC, and a Director of TIGER, Professor. Grzegorz W. Kolodko. The conference, which opens with a speech by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Radosław Sikorski, is held in the Senate Hall of the University of Warsaw, Kazimierz Palace, first floor, the main campus of the University of Warsaw, 26/28 Krakowskie Przedmiescie Street.

Professor Grzegorz W. Kolodko speaks on “Global and regional macro-economic forecasts” at “Azerbaijan Investment Summit: 2020 and beyond - accelerating economic development”, organized by “The Economist” in Baku, Azerbaijan. The speech by TIGER’s Director is followed by a discussion with the Azeri Minister of Finance, Mr. Samir Sharifov.

As in the last year, Professor Grzegorz W. Kolodko again takes a part in the Moscow Economic Forum on "НЕСЫРЬЕВОЕ БУДУЩЕЕ РОССИИ". Together with some distinguished scholars and politicians the TIGER Director participates in the plenary session (in Russian) on «Перспективы реиндустриализации мировой экономики. Новая промышленная политика против экономического застоя». The event takes place in Moscow, at 27, Lomonosovsky Prospekt, korpus 4.

Dr Małgorzata Runiewicz-Wardyn presents a lecture on “The Knowledge Flows, Dynamic Externalities and Technological Change in the EU Regions” in The International Centre for Innovation, Technology and Education Studies (iCite) of the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management of Université Libre de Bruxelles.

Exactly 25 years ago – on April 5th, 1989 – after two months of negotiations, the Polish Round Table agreement was signed. This historical event, in which Professor Grzegorz W. Kolodko, at that time the Director of Research Institute of Finance, had taken a part too, had a fundamental meaning for the dynamics and direction of the systemic changes in our part of the world.

Journal "Think Tank" organizes a conference on „25 years of Polish transformation” and on this occasion has invited Professor Grzegorz W. Kolodko – a participant of the Round Table negotiations, member of the Economic Council of Council of Ministers in 1989-91, and deputy prime minister and minister of finance in four governments in 1994-97 and 2002-03 – to contribute to panel debate, in which, among others, also participate professors Marek Belka and Witold Orlowski.

Polish Economic Society, PTE, is organizing a special seminar, open to all concerned, on “A quarter-century of post-socialist transformation". Introduction to the discussion is made by Professor Elzbieta Maczynska, President of PTE, Professor Pawel Kozlowski of the University of Warsaw and Professor Marcin Wojtysiak-Kotlarski from Warsawa School of Economics, SGH. Professor G.W. Kolodko summarizes the discussion. During the seminar the book on "Grzegorz W. Kolodko and Quarter of a Century of Transformation", edited by Professors Kozlowski and Wojtysiak-Kotlarski will be presented. The meeting occurs at the headquarters of PTE in Warsaw, at 49, Nowy Swiat.

This year event subject’s is “Economic Sciences and Policies: Dialectics of Mutual Relationship”.

Kolodko participates in the international conference on "Business and Business Education: Issues of Competitiveness” hosted in Kiev by the International Management Institute, MIM. The event takes place on the occasion of 25th anniversary of MIM, Ukraine's first business school offering MBA program in accordance with the international standard back in 1989.

Together with a group of distinguish intellectuals, scholars, politicians, and businessmen Professor Grzegorz W. Kolodko participates in the Euro-Asian Economic Summit which takes place in Istanbul. At the Summit, which is organized by the Marmara Group Strategic and Social Research Foundation, Professor Kolodko speaks on the future of the world economy. It's worth to mention that Professor Kolodko’s book on the world affairs, “Truth, Errors, and Lies: Politics and Economics in a Volatile World”, has been published also in the Turkish language: "Gezici Dünya. Only three months has passed since international scientific conference organized by the Director of TIGER on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of Kozminski University, and already a special book called “Management and Economic Policy for Development" (in Polish „Zarzadanie i polityka gospodarcza dla rozwoju”, edited by prof. Grzegorz W. Kolodko, has been published (Poltext, Warszawa 2014, p. 488). It opens with a chapter entitled „Behind the Rise and Decline of Grassroots Dynamism” written by the Nobel laureate, Professor Edmund S. Phelps of Columbia University.
