Kołodko titled „Trumps zweite Amtszeit: Globale Machtverschiebungen, internationale Politik und eine neue Weltordnung”. The publisher writes: „Amid rapid geopolitical upheaval and growing economic uncertainty, this book analyzes the complex interplay between politics, economics, and security in the era of Trump 2.0. The author—a former Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister of Poland—takes an academic, practical, and unconventional approach to explore, against the backdrop of pressing global challenges, how Trump's return to the White House could alter the world order, destabilize existing alliances, and redefine the role of the United States on the international stage.” ![]() October 29, 2025 President Karol Nawrocki met with Professor Grzegorz W. We live in times of profound and dynamic transformation. Global power rivalries, trade wars, armed conflicts, the energy transition, the accelerating development of digital technologies, as well as migration and climate crises are radically reshaping the conditions under which economies operate. These processes influence not only national strategies, but also business prospects, financial stability, and the directions of social development. These are issues that deserve — and demand — thoughtful discussion. The event will bring together distinguished economists, scholars, and practitioners, including Nobel Laureate Professor Eric Maskin. It will be a unique opportunity to reflect, in esteemed company, on how geopolitical shifts are affecting the global economy and what lessons the first quarter of the 21st century offers for the future of Poland, Europe, and the world. We warmly invite you to join us for inspiring keynote speeches, engaging debates, and informal conversations. Programme Conference recording ![]() 2025 SPRINGER Publishing House announces a new book by Professor Grzegorz W. Kolodko entitled „Trump 2.0: Global Disruptions and Power Shifts”. “In an era of rapid geopolitical shifts and economic uncertainty, this book takes an academic, professional, and unorthodox approach to analyzing the intricate feedback loops between politics, economics, and security. Against the backdrop of pressing global challenges, this book examines how Donald Trump’s return to the White House could reshape the world order, disrupt existing alliances, and redefine America’s role on the international stage. Trump’s unconventional leadership style has long been a subject of debate, but what are its deeper implications for long-term global development? Can history and geopolitics provide foresight before crises escalate? What conditions must be met to ensure sustainable economic, social, and political stability? And how do security concerns intertwine with technological, environmental, and demographic transformations? Presenting evidence-based yet necessarily controversial perspectives, this book encourages critical reflection on the evolving world landscape.” ![]() September 28, 2025, 6:00 p.m. The Science Festival takes place on September 20–28, with Kozminski University once again as a partner. The publishes announces the book as follows: “It is not easy to write about difficult matters, and even less so to do it in an accessible way. And that is exactly the case with this book explaining the complicated matters in which we are all entangled. This reading is a fascinating journey in time and space showing where the problems surrounding us came from and what is the cause of the intertwining cultural, social, economic, ecological, political and military conflicts. The author presents ways to resolve the swelling contradictions of ideas and interests in Poland, Europe and the world. Even if the modern world is indeed wandering, it does not have to go astray. There is a better way out…” ![]() 2025 PWN Scientific Publishing House announces the just published (in Polish) book entitled "Trump 2.0 The Revolution of Sick Reason": by Professor Kolodko: "A BOOK THAT WILL CHANGE YOUR PERSPECTIVE ON POLITICS AND ON WHAT IS HAPPENING AROUND YOU!" Prof. Grzegorz W. Kolodko – an intellectual, politician, world-famous economist – analyses in his penetrating and uncompromising style Trumponomics and Trumpism, populism and new nationalism, public lies and brutal game of interests. Analyzing Trump's return to power and his influence on the economy and international politics, the book warns of threats and indicates ways out of the growing global chaos. „Rzeczpospolita” daily publishes (in Polish) an article by Professor Grzegorz W. Kolodko entitled “The war is ongoing and will continue.” The director of TIGER writes: “The fate of this absurd war will not be decided either on the frozen front of Bakhmut, or on other front lines drawn by strategists and politicians in Kyiv, Moscow, or some other capitals (...). Nor will the fate of this war be decided in the armchairs in the conference room of the NATO air base in Ramstein, Germany.” And he concludes: “The sooner there is a ceasefire in Ukraine and peace negotiations begin, the better. Massive international efforts should follow this path. It is a time of diplomacy and statesmen, not an arms race and politicians who believe in the illusory possibility of defeating the enemy by force. It is also the time of intellectuals and scientists who should talk together as much as possible, above front and political divisions, so that they can influence the views and actions of political decision-makers in their countries, also, or rather primarily, in Russia. Unfortunately, sometimes the generals and politicians influence the views prevailing in academies and on campuses. Isn’t it high time for the ferment and dialogue in the university circles to have a significant impact on the course of political affairs?” January

Nakładem Wydawnictwa Naukowego PWN ukazała się książka pt. „Polityka społeczno-gospodarcza w UE.
